Abstract (EN)

Today, the need of active labor force that creates a solution to the encountered problem will be realized by the adaptation of educational systems elements to the expected qualifications. Classrooms in which methods and techniques are appropriate to the creative understanding, the investigation of experiences and sharing them takes an important part in developing the professional skills and increases the quality of education. The basic purpose of this research is to combine the components such as the organization of the lessons that designed and performed with game based mathematics activities, participation of students and the teacher?s role with a method of an investigative teacher.This study in which investigative teacher method used realized upon 7 th grade students in a village of Araklı in Trabzon between 2009-2010 academic year. The students? diaries and teacher?s notes are used for data collecting in addition to observation method and the lessons are recorded. The data are analyzed by forming themes and subthemes in related inferior problems section. Consequently the game-based mathematics activities preparations and performing period is time consuming, in the lessons the student-student, teacher-student interactions and participations of the students to the lesson are high, lower success students are more active in the period of dealing with more material and in this process teacher?s guide role stands out. Besides leaving time for group work and juicing up the lessons with game based activities is effective in terms of student participations to the lessons. Lastly, depend on the results, suggestions have made to educators.
