Abstract (EN)
The concepts of learning and teaching are one of the concepts that have come down from very ancient times to the present day. For centuries, people have taught each other something. The teaching work, which took place without a system and by chance in the early ages, has become much more comprehensive and systematic with the progress of time and the development of technology. The teaching work done in schools today is done by teachers who are experts in their field. The main purpose of teachers is to support parents who prepare their children for life, teach new skills, raise useful individuals to society and give new horizons to individuals. It is an undeniable fact that even working with individuals who show normal development is so important and difficult for teachers, while working with individuals who do not show normal development will be more difficult and require expertise. In this research, screening model, one of the quantitative research methods, was used. In the 2022-2023 academic year, 73 volunteer physical education teachers from 64 special education schools operating in Istanbul province participated in the research. In order to determine the self-efficacy of physical education teachers in the research, Charlotte A. The Maslach Burnout Inventory (Maslach Burnout Inventory), developed by Humphries and Edward Hebert, Kay Daigle and Jeffrey Martin in 2012 and adapted to Turkish by Işıl AKTAĞ, was used to measure the burnout levels of physical education teachers developed by Maslach and Jackson (1981) and adapted to Turkish by Ergin (1992). It was created from a total of 29 items (Aktağ, 2013). The scale, which consists of a total of 22 items, evaluates burnout in three sub-dimensions. The first of these is Emotional Exhaustion, which consists of nine items (Emotional Exhaustion); the second is the sub-dimension of Depersonalization consisting of five items and the third is the sub-dimension of Personal Achievement consisting of eight items. According to Maslach and Jackson (1981), the form of the scale answered with a 7-point rating, adapted by Ergin (1992), was answered with a 5-point rating. The data obtained within the scope of the analysis were tabulated and descriptive statistics were used. The Cronbach Alpha Reliability Coefficients of both scales and their sub-dimensions were examined and it was found that the study was at a reliable level. In order to look at the normal distribution of the data, the Kolmogorov-Smirnov analysis result was examined and it was concluded that the data were not normally distributed. However, it is stated that if the number of samples is greater than fifty and the Skewness and Kurtosis values are between -1.5 and +1.5, it is acceptable that the data is Decently distributed (Tabachnick and Fidell, 2013). When looking at Table 4, it was assumed that the skewness and kurtosis values of the two scales and their sub-dimensions are between -1.5 and +1.5 and have a normal distribution. Dec. According to this result, independent t-test was used in binary groups, one-way variance (ANOVA) analysis was used in groups of three and above, Pearson correlation analysis was used to Decipher the relationship between the scales and finally, multiple linear regression analysis was used for procedure analysis. The self-efficacy levels and burnout levels of physical education teachers in the research group were examined according to gender, age, weekly lesson time, service time at the school where they work, weekly lesson time, type of school where they work, service time variables in the profession, and it was concluded that their self-efficacy levels were high and their burnout level was low.
