The opinions of teachers training in special education class on the Social Sciences studies programs (The case of Ağrı province)

This study is conducted to determine the opinions of teachers who work in special education classes in Ağrı Province about the social sciences studies programs.Qualitative research methods are used in the research. This method is preferred in order to be more detailed and comprehensive information from the study group. A semi-structured interview form were prepared and applied for study group. The research group consists of 20 special education teachers working in 12 schools in Agri Province, Dogubayazit, Taşlıçay and Hamur district in the 2014-2015 academic year. The teachers in the research group is determined by considering their working in schools and having experience about special education.In this research, Qualitative Research Methods is used. That method is used to collect more detailed and rich information from the created working group. According to the findings obtained from the research; expression, role play and drama, problem solving, demonstration, question and answer, staged and discussion methods are used in social sciences education for special education teachers by the teachers working in special education classes. Among those methods, expression method is used by almost all the teachers.Putting forward recommendations based on the findings of the study, research is completed.
