Abstract (EN)

The aim of this research is, to assert the effect of the private security personnel's levels of Neuroticism from The Big Five Personality Model on the frequency of the conflicts occurring. Another aim of this research is to present whether there is a relationship between the low levels of Neuroticism and the conflict frequency. The assessment is done by questionnaire method with 368 private security personnel who work in Gaziantep in June and August 2017.Exploratory Factor Analysis has been done on the data which is collected from the questionnaires, with this method it is been found that Neuroticism can be identified in two dimensions which are high emotional reactivity and depression. After the Exploratory Factor Analysis, the Confirmatory Factor Analysis is executed with the same set of data. It is been determined that the scale is explained in two dimensions. The Frequency Analysis is executed on the data set from the first part of the questionnaire which is focused on the gender, socio-demographic levels, marital status and the place of duty of the participants. Afterwards to test the various hypotheses of the study, Unpaired T-Test, One Way ANOVA and Simple Linear Regression analyses has been done. As a result of these analyses; it is been found that the Depression dimension of the Neuroticism of the private security personnel has an effect on the conflict levels that the these personnel has in the establishment.
