Abstract (EN)
Accounting and taxation have become the keystone of this sector for businesses operating in the private (build-sell) construction field. The correct calculation of income and expenses in construction activities and the real performance of taxation reveal the importance of the accounting system. The study consists of literature and application parts. In the study, a comprehensive literature search was conducted, and then an application was made regarding construction in return for flat, which is one of the private (build-sell) construction accounting activity areas. Today, in order to ease the financial burden caused by the cost of land, construction activities in return for flat are widely carried out. Construction activities in return for flat are based on a contract between the construction company and the landowner. It is of great importance to keep complete and accurate records on subjects such as how the land share will be reflected in the construction costs, and how the residences or workplaces given to the landowner will be accounted for. For the application part of the study, a construction company operating in Gaziantep was selected. Interviews were held with the SMMM, who kept the official book of the company in question, and the accounting records and documents of the enterprise were used.
