Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to develop a software application that can compute rational polynomial expressions by using the Pade approach in conjunction with symbolic mathematics methods, and export the computation steps to a PDF document. A grammar with EBNF-like notation is designed to represent polynomial expressions. JavaCC parsers is used to create abstract syntax trees based on the meanings of polynomial expressions. The Visitor design pattern is employed in the evaluation process, which allows collecting different types of operations contained in the syntax tree under a single class. The calculations involved in determining rational polynomials that should be used to describe a certain mathematical function can be displayed on a terminal and transferred to a PDF document, along with the process steps. The production of PDF files is carried out by textual transformations into the LaTex document formatting language via syntax trees of polynomial expressions.
