Abstract (EN)

In this study, the general features of the reinforced soil retaining walls and the multi-tiered reinforced soil retaining walls are discussed in detail, advantages and disadvantages are examined. In addition, in order to evaluate the effect of wall height, elasticity modulus and offset distance on the design of multi-tiered reinforced soil, which is the main subject of the thesis, different height and elasticity modulus and offset distance were selected and analyzes were made with the Plaxis 2D finite element program. As a result of the analysis, the maximum displacements in the walls and the variation of the axial forces acting on the reinforcements were determined. As a result; It has been determined that the increase in the height of the structure causes the displacements of the walls and the axial forces acting on the reinforcements to increase, the change of the elasticity modulus in the bedrock does not cause significant changes in the maximum displacement in the system and the axial forces acting on the strips, and the increase in the offset distance causes the displacements in the system and the axial forces acting on the reinforcements to decrease.
