Abstract (EN)

This study investigates the flow and heat transfer characteristics of non-Newtonian nanofluids in a magnetohydrodynamic slip flow between microscale parallel plates, incorporating the effects of viscous dissipation. The analysis is conducted with a stationary lower plate and a moving upper plate at constant temperatures, under steady-state fully developed laminar flow conditions, using a first-order slip velocity model to evaluate velocity and temperature distribution as well as the Nusselt number. Parameters such as magnetic field strength (M), slip velocity (βv), Brinkman number (Br), nanoparticle volume fraction (ϕ), and the fluid behavior index (n) are examined in detail to understand their effects on the fluid's velocity and temperature distribution and their impact on the Nusselt number. The results indicate that increasing magnetic field strength and nanoparticle volume fraction significantly enhance the fluid's heat transfer rate. The Nusselt number, velocity, and temperature exhibit complex behavior for parameters such as Brinkman number, βv, and n. These findings contribute substantially to the understanding of the thermal performance of non-Newtonian nanofluids and provide valuable insights into heat transfer and flow dynamics.
