Abstract (EN)
Neuroscience studies human brain and nervous system and have high potential to better explore consumer behavior. One of the branches of this study is neuromarketing, which is increasingly used as a method to understand consumer behavior. Still, there are many questions and concerns about this method, especially in Turkey where the concept is new both for the clients and market research companies. This study deals with the concept Neuromarketing in terms of its techniques and applications. Through examining human brain and senses, the study aims to understand the subconscious decision-making process of consumers. These notions aim to enlighten the emotional engagements of consumers with brands. The theoretical part of the thesis starts with the basic knowledge of human brain. In the following parts, principles of neuromarketing tools and their applications are discussed. Lastly, five senses of consumers are examined in order to create a wider look at the neuromarketing field.
