Abstract (EN)
In this study, wood pellets production and the applicability as a plant in Bartin region were investigated. Pellets, which are environment friendly, are widely used in many countries on the world as a fuel type. The production of pellets in Turkey are not in a desirable place instead its sufficient raw material resources and potential market. Pellet production and usage prevent environmental pollution and reduce the dependence on foreign markets. The sample region in this study is selected as Bartın because it contains high raw material resources, a harbor and suitable connections and distribution to the consumer.
