Abstract (EN)

Although the evaluation of performance is one of the human resources function, still it can not be fully achieved the expected benefits from the performance evaluation system in organization. Among the factors that cause it, the perception of employee performance evaluation system for efficiency not sufficiently investigated. The aim of this research, carried out in this context, is comparison of performance evaluation methods with each other. For this purpose, performance evaluation methods (sorting, forced distribution, graphical rating scale, checklist, forced choice, composition, critical incidents 360-degree feedback, assessment centers, management by objectives, team based performans) were compared with each other on a sectoral basis, on a sample including 100 employees from 80 different companies in Hatay in terms of their frequency of use, performance and potential measurement capabilities and also individual, department and organizational levels releveancy. According to findings of the study, optimal performance evaluation medhods has been identified as management by objectives, 360-degree feedback and team based performance appraisal.
