Abstract (EN)
The most common preliminary research on phthalocyanines was done in the 1930s by Linstead et al. In the first three decades following its finding, it was used as pigments and dyes in various industries. Potential applications include electrochromic imaging devices, cancer therapy, optically read-write disks and information storage systems. By distinguishing the position of the central metal and substituents, phthalocyanines that form different complexes can be synthesized. Substitution of bulky groups to their peripheral positions increases their solubility in organic solvents, and this substitution effectively changes the electrochemical and spectroscopic properties. In this thesis study, zinc, magnesium, cobalt and indium metallophthalocyanine compounds were obtained in the peripheral position containing octadecyl 3-(3,5-di-tert-butyl-4-(3,4-dicyanophenoxy)phenyl)propionate derivatives. The structural properties of the newly obtained compounds were determined by infrared, proton NMR and mass spectrometry, and their spectroscopic properties were investigated by ultraviolet-visible and fluorescence spectrometry.
