Abstract (EN)

In the CAPD treatment, determination of peritoneal membrane permiability rate is the first step to shape the treatment per patient. PET is made to determine the transmission rate of peritoneal membrane. PET is easy to apply and it can be monitored at regular intervals during treatment by following changes in peritoneal transport rate. PET results reveal the functional status of the patient's peritoneal membrane. Despite the use of many clinical applications, it can be used for classification of peritoneal membrane function and determining the adequacy of dialysis. In this study we examined the changes of peritoneal permeability in time in patients receiving peritoneal dialysis. For this purpose, 21 end stage kidney disease patients who are receiving peritoneal dialysis at least for 5 years, are enrolled in this study. Afterretrospective review of the files the patient's age, sex, blood group, body weight, peritoneal dialysis duration, peritonitis history, ACE inh. / ARB use history, viral hepatitis stories, CRF etiology has been documented. Of 21 patients, the PET data at first year and at fifth year after starting PD were evaluated. As a result, in this study, there was no significant difference between, age, gender, ACE inh / ARB use and D / P creatinine ratio. After five year there was a significant reduction in the amount of urine, but high standard deviation was not statistically significant. Hemoglobin values at baseline, after 1 and 5 year compared , decline at 5.year was found to be significant. In our study, over time statistical significant decrease in RRF and UF capacity was observed with accordance with the literature.Due to our small number of patients, the effect of peritonitis on membrane transport could not show statistically significancy. 3 of 6 patients with rising membrane permeability, has a history of peritonitis.Due to the retrospective nature of the study; biochemical and changes in the peritoneum did not detect in patients at that time after spending peritonitis. Our study is a retrospective study of patients with PD in our center. Exposure to concentrations of glucose and icodekstrin could not be used as data. Due to a retrospective study, some data of patients could not be reached. We did not have more sensitive parameters for assessing inflammation. We did not have data to show histological or biochemical changes in the peritoneum at Basal, 1. and 5. year. We tried to assess changes in the peritoneum, currently used in clinical practice with only PET test changes. Some of the aspects of our work is incomplete. PET test seems likely to be used due to the long years as a noninvasive test because of can be done easily and give us information about the patient's membrane permeability
