Abstract (EN)

Superabsorbents are cross-linked polymeric structures that can adsorb large amounts of water in a short time. Superabsorbents are widely used in child and feminine hygiene materials, agriculture, construction industry, drug carriers, fire extinguishing, separation of heavy metal ions and harmful molecules. It is used in many fields such as imprinted polymers, amino acids, proteins, nucleotide derivatives, pollutants, pesticides, drugs, separation of heavy metal ions. In this study, new cross-linked Poly (Acrylic acid-copolymer-PEG-Dimethylacrylate Superabsorbent (PAA-co-PEG-DM SAP) and Poly (Acrylic acid-copolymer-PEG-Dimethylacrylate Imprinted Polymers (PAA-co-PEG-DM IMP) were synthesized. PAA-co-PEG-DM SAP and PAA-co-PEG-DM IMP were synthesized by solution polymerization reaction by using polyethylene glycol-1500-dimethylmethacrylate (PEG-1500-DM) macrocrosslinker and AA. PEG-1500-DM macrocrosslinker and PAA-co-PEG-DM SAP and PAA-co-PEG-DM SAP Characterization of IMPs was achieved by FT-IR, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, SEM, TGA, DSC, X-RD, Zeta Sizer techniques 0.5%, 1%, and 2% cross-linked PAA-co-PEG-DM Adsorption rate of Mn2+, Ni2+, Cu2+, Zn2+, Pb2+, Cd2+, Cr3+, Co2+ and Fe3+ heavy metal ions on SAPs, adsorption capacity at different pH values, dispersion coefficient values, log D, and competing adsorption were investigated and 0.5%, 1%, and 2% cross-linked PAA-co-PEG-DM SAP's heavy-metal ions were desorbed with 0.1 M HNO3 solution for 4, 8 hours, and their desorption rates were calculated. The swelling ratios of PAA-co-PEG DM SAP and 0.5%, 1%, and 2% cross-linked PAA-co-PEG DM IMPs, qv, 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 pH's and 12, 24 and 48 analyzed over hours. The adsorption rate of Pb2+ heavy metal ions on PAA-co-PEG-DM SAPs and their adsorption capacity at different pH values were investigated.
