Abstract (EN)
In this study, dry shear wear behavior of polymer matrix iron oxide reinforced composite material was investigated. The experiments were carried out on samples prepared at 20x10 mm size under 5N and 10N loads at room temperature with Pin On Disc abrasion device. 3D optical microscopy was used to determine the volume losses of the samples. SEM (Scanning Electron Microscopy) was used to determine the morphology of the wear surfaces of the samples. As a result, it was seen that the change of the applied load did not cause a significant change in the friction coefficient but caused some increase. In addition, volume losses in samples increased due to increasing load. As a result of the experiments, the lowest volume loss was observed in 5% iron oxide reinforced sample. The highest volume losses were observed in the non-iron oxide reinforced sample.
