Abstract (EN)

In this study, synthesis of poly(polyvinyl chloride-co-ethylene glycol) cross-linked copolymers was carried out by ''click'' chemistry of dipropargyllated polyethylene glycol (PEG-dipropargyl) and terminaly azide polyvinyl chloride (PVC-N3). For this purpose, primarily, PEG-dipropargyl was obtained by the reaction of PEGs with different molecular weight (10000 Da, 3000 Da, 2000 Da, 1500 Da, 1000 Da, 600 Da and 400 Da) and propargyl chloride. After purification of PVC, PVC-N3 was synthesized by the reaction of PVC and sodium azide. By using PVC-N3 and PEG-propargyl, poly(polyvinyl chloride-co-ethylene glycol) cross-linked copolymers were synthesized. The principal parameters such as concentration, and polymerization time that affect the reaction were evaluated. The characterization of the products was achieved using Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (NMR), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and swelling ratios (qv) techniques.
