Abstract (EN)

In this study, a centrifugal pump impeller is designed which has radial straight blade. The best parameters of Friction Stir Processing (FSP) have been determined by results of preliminary experiments and checking literature. The pump impeller blades made from Nickel Aluminium Bronze (NAB) material subjected to surface treatment with the FSP method. The manufactured impeller blades can be disassembled and pluggable, so it can possible to examine at the desired stage by disassemble while operation continuing. System designed as a closed circuit that water suction by centrifugal pump from a tank. Cavitation behavior of pump impeller was examined which has run in the cavitation risk zone. Mechanical properties is gotten better and cavitation resistance improved up to 10 times after applying FSP to NAB which has used to manufacture pump impeller is determined.
