Abstract (EN)

During the production of durable and economical concrete, it plays an important role as the aggregate ratio used in concrete is 70-80% according to the concrete design volume. In the aggregate composition used in concrete production, crushing sand has the highest rate due to its cost advantage. At the same time, pollution of crushed sand is one of the main parameters affecting the quality of concrete. Washing the aggregate being used widely in Turkey so crushed sand contamination poses a significant problem for concrete production. Due to the difficulty of supplying clean aggregates in many regions of our country, concrete production is carried out with high methylene aggregates which combine some differences. In this study, chemical additives with clay reducing properties were prepared in order to eliminate the negative effects of the aggregates with high fine content. For this purpose, potassium humate, the potassium salt of humic acid, was used in the preparation of chemical additives. Twenty-four different potassium humate and vinyl acrylate monomer based chemical additives were prepared in the Construction Materials Laboratory. After producing chemical additives based on potassium humate and vinyl acrylate monomer, the slurries were produced and placed in a 40 x 40 x 160 mm mold. Dolomite crushed sand was used in the experimental study. The methylene blue value of the dolomite crushed sand was 5. the percentage of chemical mixtures was 1% by weight of cement. All samples were dissolved after 24 hours and stored in water at 20 ± 1 ° C. Hardened unit weight, flexural strength and compressive strength test results were applied to samples of 7, 14, and 28 days. As a result, it has been found that chemical additives based on potassium humate and vinyl acrylate eliminate the negative effects of very fine materials in aggregates by providing the intended collapse and compressive strength of concrete. In this respect, further research is needed to optimize the design cost and production cost of clay-reducing chemical additives based on potassium humate and vinyl acrylate monomer.
