Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this study is to investigate the geology of the Raman Oil Field, produced significant amount of oil, located at the south of Batman and to study the polymer gel applications applied to increase oil production by using core and well data (DST, log, etc.). Numerous wells has been drilled in the field for different purposes so far. The underground geology of the field has been discussed in detailed by the data obtained from the selected specific wells. Geological evolutions of the formations were revealed by preparing log correlations between the wells. Also, important tectonic marks consisting of cracks, faults, and fractures have been found as a result of epirogenic activities. These fractures in the reservoir zone cause water-entry problems with increased production. Therefore, the percent age of water increased. In this study, in order to reduce this problem which adversely affect the production in the well of the study area, the impacts of recently applied polymer gel injection operations on the oil production rate were discussed.
