Emotional expressions of the concept of family in painting

This study presents a comprehensive review by deeply examining the definitions of the concepts of family and marriage under the title of "Emotional Expression Forms of the Concept of Family in Painting". The focus of the study is to understand how artists reflect the concept of family in their paintings based on their past lives, experiences or current daily situations, and what emotional reactions the concepts of family and emotion in these works evoke in the viewer. The study aims to analyze how the artist expresses the concept of family and what emotional resonances these expressions evoke at the social and individual level by investigating various emotional expressions of family-themed artworks and the effects of these expressions on the viewer. The main concepts used within the scope of the study are explained in detail in the definitions section of the thesis. In the relevant literature section, the definitions of family, marriage and emotions are comprehensively discussed within the framework of the discipline of sociology. The relationship between the concepts of emotion and family is examined in detail and the works of painters who work on these concepts in their artworks are analyzed. From the Renaissance to the present, it has been investigated whether artists have experienced certain events in the past while creating their paintings, and in this context, the emotional and thematic backgrounds of the works of art have been addressed. In the findings and comments section, under the title "Emotions Poured into the Painting", analyses supported by data obtained from my own works are presented. These analyses aim to comprehensively evaluate how the emotional themes expressed in the works of the artists are associated with the concept of family and the effects of these themes on their artistic representation.
