According to socio-economic and cultural life in Rize

This study contributes to the investigation of history of region by examing structure of social, cultural, economic and political life in Rize through Journal of Rize which was published in between 1931 – 1942. It was seen that Journal of Rize is a rich source because of revealing very much information such as economic conditions, judicial cases , reconstruction-housing activities, the attitude of people against to the revolutions, structure of population in the region when Journal of Rize was analyzed. In addition Journal of Rize sheds light on not only history of Rize but also history of public. At the same time not only regional news but also news from the world were published too much in the journal. Although it was a local journal, it had an identity of public journal. However this study included only the local news which was published in Journal of Rize. In the numbers of journal which was obtained there were a lot of news such as appointment of officers, penalty or promotion news, advertisements, announcements which was given from various institutions and individuals, judicial cases, persons who went and came to the region, special days of celebration and commemoration programs, papers of government introduced laws.
