Abstract (EN)

Some works have great importance in the commentary tradition of classical Turkish literature. One of the important works mentioned is the qasida named el-Kevâkibü'-Dürriye fi Medhi Hayri'l-Beriyye, which was written by Imam Busiri in praise of the Prophet Muhammad and gained fame with the name of Kasîdetü'l-Bürde. One of those who wrote commentaries about Kasîdetü'l-Bürde in the nineteenth century is Rusçuklu Mehmed Hayri Efendi. Mehmed Hayri entitled his work, which he wrote as a commentary, in Turkish Kasîdetü'l-Bürde Commentary "Hediyye". In our study, the Turkish Qasida of Burde Commentary "Hediyye" written by Mehmed Hayrî has been examined. In the first part of the study, information about two different qasidas that gained fame with the name of Qasida of Burde and the authors of these qasidas is given, and a bibliography of Qasida of Burde commentary and translations written in Turkish is given. In the second part of the study, information about the life, literary personality and works of Mehmed Hayri from Russe, who is the author of the work, is given. In the third chapter, Turkish Kasîdetü'l-Bürde Commentary "Hediyye" is analyzed. In the fourth chapter, a fully transcribed text publication of the work was prepared based on the print edition made in Istanbul in 1299 AH. The study aims at examining and publishing the text, which is one of the commentaries on Qasida of Burde, and to contribute to the field by bringing the work in question to the fore in the field of literature.
