Saban Ali Duzgun's remark, approach to problems and conrtributions to the studies in Turkey

Saban Ali Duzgun, who is the head of the Department of Theology at Ankara University Faculty Of Theology and a member of the faculty board, is the founder editör of the Journal of Kalam Studies. He speaks Arabic, English and German. Having a successful acadeic life, Duzgun achieved this success with his studies. Man is a living being that changes and develops. Time; changes and transforms life, rules, needs and societies. A situation perceived as strange in on generation may be considered quite normal in the next generation. Religon, on the other hand, should address the living conditions and needs of every generation as the founding element of societies. In this study, the studies of Saban Ali Duzgun on the understanding of religon that meet the needs of the society in every generation – the living religion, Islam- have been investigated. Saban Ali Duzgun has tried to adapt the Mathuridi Kalam to the present day. He did not copy it, but tried to transced Mathuridi by assimilating it and adding his own thought. He endeavored to offer solutions to today's problems. Duzgun's approach to problems and his solution proposals are not dissociative, but unifying and integrative. He expressed that human beings are free and willed about destiny. The fact that man has free and will attributes him to being a valuable creature. He did not limit God or man in terms of evil. The source of evil is the conscious choices made by human beings. God's creation of what men does has not prevented man from having will, as he saved from neutralizing it. Duzgun has made suggestions and studies on how politics and administrator's attitudes should be in a country whose majority and rulers are Muslim. He explained how impotant justice, merit and competence, equality, freedom, and secularism are important for peace in a society where Muslims and non-Muslims live together. These values are tha basic powers that ensure the continuity of states. The Qur'an temphasized the concept of justice and argued that justice should not only be against Muslims, but against every invidual, regardless of their belief in us. While working on how the religion and religious people should be properly in modern times, he revealed the value that the religion of Islam atteches to development, innovation and being a Pioneer in science.
