Sadık Karahan and education in Uşak (1930-1950)

In the study the life of educator Sadık Karahan from Uşak and the level of education in Uşak from 1930 to 1950 was studied. Under the light of this study the education policy of Turkish Republic and how the effect of the practice from 1930 to 1950 in Uşak town, the province of Kütahya have been. The studies performed by Sadık Karahan in the educational field have been appraised. While evaluating, the schools, the constraction of the schools, the educators, teachers, the number of students and teaching programmes have been discussed. The main source of this study have been special archive of Sadık Karahan and the archive of Directorete of Uşak National Education. It is clearly understood that the education between the years 1930 and 1950 in Uşak has become widespread and developed soon after republic was founded.Key Words: Republic?s Period Education, Education Policy, Education System, Sadık Karahan, Uşak, Education in Uşak.
