Elements of folk literature and folk science in Safiye Erol's works

The community is a group of people living in the same country within the framework of certain rules and having the same cultural characteristics. Folklore is a science that examines the tradition, belief, music, architecture, literature, in shortly; all cultural issues belonging to the people, through various methods. Folk literature, which is evaluated in folklore, is a branch of folklore that reflects the feelings and thoughts of the society to which it belongs, with oral or written products. Many elements of folklore and folk literature are frequently used by artists in literary genres such as novels and stories. Safiye Erol is one of the artists who include cultural elements in her works. Safiye Erol has protected the values of the people thanks to her upbringing and education, and she has not hesitated to use them in her works. In this direction, in this study, the works of Safiye Erol were examined in terms of the presence of folklore and folk literature elements. In the study, using the document analysis method, folklore and folk literature elements in Safiye Erol's works were recorded one by one with the filing technique, and then the identified folk literature and folklore elements were classified under the relevant headings. Folk song, mania, epic, legend, tale, proverb, idiom etc. in the section of folk literature. It has seen that many products such as these are used as terms and text examples of them have been determined. In the folklore department, from transition periods to clothing, from cuisine to architecture, from belief to tradition, to holidays, ceremonies, etc. many elements are included.
