Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study was to examine the exercise/physical activity awareness levels of healthcare workers. The research was conducted using a relational screening model. The study group consisted of 218 voluntary participants, including 120 men and 98 women, selected through convenience sampling. A personal information form and the "Health-Exercise/Physical Activity Awareness Level Questionnaire," developed by the researchers, were used as data collection tools. Data analysis was performed using the SPSS 24.0 software, and an independent samples t-test and One Way ANOVA were used to determine differences between three or more groups. A significance level of "p<0.05" was considered for all tests. The findings of the study indicated that no significant difference was found in the average scores of healthcare workers' exercise/physical activity awareness levels according to gender, age, and regular exercise participation (p>0.05). However, a statistically significant difference was observed in the awareness scores based on participants' income levels (p<0.05). In conclusion, it is recommended to implement targeted educational and awareness programs to increase healthcare workers' awareness of exercise and physical activity, taking income status into account.
