Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is examine the relationships between the perceptions of health workers towards mobbing and organizational cynicism. The population of the research consists of 624 healthcare professionals working in a public hospital in Turkey. Considering the number of universe created by healthcare professionals, the sample of the study consisted of 238 people, with a 5% margin of error and a 95% reliability level. All healthcare professionals in the relevant institution were included for the study. Questionnaire technique was used to collect data from healthcare workers. We obtained the necessary permissions from the Provincial Health Directorate, where the public hospital is located, in order to conduct the surveys. The decision taken by the commission in the Provincial Health Directorate is to apply the questionnaires to health workers in the form of e-surveys and not to mention the name of the health institution where the research was conducted, verbally or in writing. That is why it has been moved in this direction. The questionnaires prepared in this context were presented to the health workers in the institution in electronic environment, on the basis of their voluntary participation. In the study, the scale called LIPT (Leymann's Inventory of Psychological Terror), which covers 45 mobbing (psychological violence) behaviors developed by Heinz Leymann in the early 1990s, and three sub-titles (cognitive, affective, behavioral) The Organizational Cynicism scale, consisting of a total of fourteen items was applied. The data obtained from the study showed that there is a statistically significant, direct and moderate relationship between the perceptions of "Mobbing" and "Organizational Cynicism" of healthcare professionals. It was found statistically significant relationships between the mobbing perceptions of health workers and the sub-dimensions of the organizational cynicism scale. In the study, whose participants were health professionals, statistically significant relationships were found between organizational cynicism perceptions and mobbing scale sub-dimensions.
