Abstract (EN)
Reducing the size, power and cost of high-performance computing devices, easy access to sensors which can collect data from the physical environment and possibility communication of these devices with each other through various protocols have led to an increase in the studies and applications on Internet of Things. This technology which is taking place more and more in daily life can be used for collecting patient medical records, monitoring patients remotely and developing various mobile medical applications. Within the scope of this thesis, research have been done on the use of Internet of Things technology in health institutions. What the technology of Internet of Things is, communication technologies between devices and the security measures to be taken are explained with the information obtained from the literature research. In this study, a patient file tracking and information system which is working in the Internet of Things concept was developed to follow up the files that should be physically conserved in health institutions. The system works on a low-cost platform, enabling automatic recognition and recording of files at room entrance and exit.
