Investigation of the relationship between organizational identification and cyberloafing levels of health care professionals: A public hospital sample

Abstract (EN)

The main objective of this research is to determine the relationship between organizational identification and cyberloafing behaviors. Secondary objectives of the research are to examine health care professionals' internet usage levels for non-business purposes during working hours according to variables of gender, marital status, educational status and age. This research is a quantitative conducted with research relational screening model. The data collection tool prepared for these purposes has been applied to 189 health care professionals from total of 632 working in Elazığ State Hospital which is the population of the research. Data collection tool is consisted of questions related to demographic information, "organizational identification scale" and "cyberloafing scale". According to results of the research; it has been seen that as the level of organizational identification of employees is increased, their cyberloafing behavior is decreased. In addition, men, married and young health care professionals, the professionals with higher educational backgrounds and more occupational experience have been shown more cyberloafing behaviors than women, singles, elders and the professionals with lower educational backgrounds.
