Lean management is a system of thought that aims to reveal the value more by eliminating the waste in workflows. It focuses on the elimination of eight wastes, such as unnecessary human movement in processes, overproduction, unnecessary material movement, error, waiting, overstock, overprocess and ability. In this study, it is aimed to test the gains that will be obtained by eliminating waste with improvements in health enterprises and to show their applicability. For this purpose, trainings were given and all processes in the Adult Intensive Care Unit, which is the field of application, were reviewed and the current situation was demonstrated by drawing a Value Flow Map with the Lean Team formed. Five kaizen applications were performed using A3 reporting, 5S, brain storming, root cause analysis, spaghetti diagram, andon, kanban, and lean tools. As a result of the application; daily morning patient care time 33,3%; 82.10% reduction in the number of steps, 94.44% improvement in movement wastage. With the follow-up form revision, 85.71% paper saving was achieved because of the reduction of seven forms used for one patient on a daily basis, and Kanban application was achieved by saving 21.52% and 84.74% for medicine.
