Abstract (EN)
SEED EFFICIENT AND GERMINATION PERCENTAGE OF ORIENTAL BEECH (Fagus orientalis Lipsky.) STANDS IN SAKARYA PROVICE GEYVE DISTRICT ESKIYAYLA REGION This study was carried out in Eskiyayla forests in Geyve District. The first aim of this study is to determine the amount of seed and seed quality that the trees produce and distributes to the stand in the abundant seed beech tree. The second aim is to determine how many seedlings have been formed from dispersed seeds and to determine the percentages of these seedlins according to time. In 2017 abundant seed, 1 m x 1 m = 1 m2 sized specially prepared casing type seed traps were placed in the research area before they were dispersed. According to the amount of seeds falling in the traps, an average of 1 011 000 pieces / ha seeds were shed in 2017. Occupancy rate was determined as 89%, 1000 grain weight was 361,57 g, moisture percentage was 14,2 - 16,3. According to the germination count of May 2018, the average number of germination arriving in the field is 69.951. In May 2019, 77.5 % of these seedlings continued to live was determined.
