An examination on the place and importance of Salih İhsan's work, Ottoman Language, in Turkish teaching

One of the studies on the educationand teaching of Turkish, which increased with the Tanzimat Period, is the writing of grammar books, which are common in this period. The work named "Osmanlı Lisânı", written in 1896 by Salih İhsan, who took the e-books lessons at the Bahriye School, was written to be taught in secondary schools witht heclaim of producing a work containing the knowledge of grammar, spelling and writing that students have needed for a long time. The basis of the study consists of the transfer of the work called "Osmanlı Lisânı" with one-to-one transcription into Latin letters, the determination and explanation of the grammar terms in it, and the indication of the place and importance of the work in terms of Turkish teaching. The work consists of four parts. In the first part, the history of education and teaching of Turkish, in the second part, Salih İhsan's life, his Works and his understanding of education, in the third part the transcription of the work named "Osmanlı Lisânı" into Latin letters, and in the fourth part, it is examined by adhering to the titles in the work in question. It consists of a section consisting of works and financial aids passing through the parts of the terms of the study. With this study, the value of the work called "Osmanlı Lisânı" in terms of teaching Turkish has been revealed; during the preparation of the study, books, periodicals, articles and master's the sesrelated to the subject were examined.
