Abstract (EN)
This study was carried out to determine the terrestrial bdelloid rotifers in the town Havza of Samsun province. Thirty samples including mosses, lichens and tree barks were collected from Havza in August 2012 and in March 2013. As a result of the examination of collected samples under inverted microscope, 25 taxa were identified. Three of these (Habrotrocha fusca, Mniobia discophora, Mniobia edmondsoni) are new for Turkish fauna. In addition to, these two species (Mniobia discophora, Mniobia edmondsoni) are new for Asia, too. All the species identified except for the 3 new species show wide distribution. When we look at the abundance (%) of bdelloid species in 3000 individual, we can see while Macrotrachela has the highest abundance in all the samples(% 33) and just in moss samples (moss on three: % 37, moss on rock: % 42), Mniobia has the higest abundance (% 56) in lichen samples, too.
