Effects of pruning and first thinning on growth of scotchpine stands: Example of Catmaoluk (Kargi-Corum)

This studying in dealt with searching effects by aiming on increasing diameter and height of first thinning and pruning in the Pinus siylvestris stands. The studying is realized into border boundary of the forest region Director of Amasya the forest Exploitation Head of Kargı, the forest explaitation of Kirazbaşı about Çatmaoluk between 2015 and 2017 years. Nine experimentation parcels that had been come the first thinning age had been set up 400 m2 largeness and in three of this parcels hadrit been done any working , in three of them only had been done the first separating ,in the last three parcels had ben done both the first seperating and pruning work. After thinning practice, by aiming of exposing of meşcere forest growing up, had been set up in experiment parcels, had been measured calibre and length of trees taking a berak one year ,had been calculated surface of breast, for expasing of affects of separating ,was chosen future trees on them had been done height measurement in experimentatione zone. At the end of doing measurement and analysis had been, found the conclusion there you mast increasing in separating and pruning zones and the least increasing in controlled zone.İt is hoped that effects of thinning and pruning will be more in the future.
