Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to ascertain the blue stain damage which is effective on logs in forest depots and to determine the effects of it on sale price. The research was carried out at Altınpınar log depot of Torul State Forest Enterprise in Trabzon Regional Forest Directorate in 2010. 41 stack of scotch pine logs were examined in terms of blue staining. Parts of logs exposed to blue stain in the stacks were measured by the meter.At the end of this research, it has been identified that the rate of appraised value and sale price of the Scotch pine log stacks have decreased when the rate of degradation in the stack volume and the rate of degraded logs in the stack have increased.Correlation analyze results of the examined properties of log stacks have showed that, volumetric degradation has affected the sale price (r=-0,43**) and the rate of appraised compensation increment ratio (r=-0,48**) in a crucial and negative way; also, the degradation as log has affected the sale price (r=-0,44**) and appraised compensation increment ratio (r=-0,50) in a crucial and negative way.As a result, it has been determined that the degradation of blue stain at log stacks has decreased the rate of appraised compensation increment and it has a potential in decrease in the forest enterprise sale income.Key Words: State forest enterprise, Scotch pine logs, blue stain, sale price.
