Abstract (EN)

This study has been carried out between 2013-2014 in order to determine the flora of Sarp Border Gate (Kemalpaşa, Hopa) environs. The research area under review is taken place in Colchic province of Euro-Siberian floristic area of Holarcticand is found in the A8 square according to grid system of Davis. The study area lies from sea level to 1513 m. In this study, total 253 plant taxa belong to 80 families and 184 genera were determined. 7 of them belong to Pteridophyta, the remaining 246 taxa were Spermatophyta which included 2 taxa from Gymnospermae and 244 taxa from Angiospermae. The largest families recorded were as follows: Asteraceae (24 taxa), Poaceae (21 taxa), Rosaceae (18 taxa ), Fabaceae (14 taxa), Lamiaceae (13 taxa), Boraginaceae (10 taxa), Brassicaceae (6 taxa), Geraniaceae (6 taxa), Primulaceaea (6 taxa) and Caryophyllaceae (5 taxa). The percentage of phytogeographical origins of 81 taxa was determined instudied area. The distribution of the taxa according to the phytogeographical regions was as follows: 77 taxa, Euro-Siberian, 4 taxa Mediterranean. The life form spectrum of the taxa was as follows: hemicryptophytes 56 (% 33,9), cryptophytes 35 (% 21,2), chamaephytes 28 (% 17), phanerophytes 24 (% 14,6), therophytes 21 (% 12,7) and vasicular parasites (% 0.6). Endemic plant wasn't determined in the area of research. The plants in the study area have been classified according to IUCN threat catagories.
