Abstract (EN)
SERINC genes are ubiquitous in all eukaryotes, but their only known molecular function is to encode transmembrane proteins. The human genome has five SERINC genes, which encode homologous proteins with a transmembrane structure. SERINC3 has antiretroviral activity, whereas SERINC5 is anti-polyomavirus. In view of the foregoing information, this thesis study on covid-19 to assess its disastrous impacts on human health in the globe and in our country has the distinction of being the first study undertaken in our country with SERINC areas. In this regard, while it has an important place, it is merely a stepping stone for future research. The expression levels of the SERINC3 and SERINC5 genes were determined using data from DNA and cDNA sequence analyses. In the patient samples analyzed, sequence analysis showed that 333 serine5 mutations caused 105 amino acid changes while 671 serine3 mutations caused 301 amino acid changes. The Gene Globe program was used to assess the Ct values received at the end of gene expression studies. The data from the genes used in the study were normalized using the GAPDH gene, and statistical analysis was performed using the 2-ΔΔCt formula data. The non-parametric Mann-Whitney test (p 0.05) was used to compare groups for expression fold change analysis. In both genes, different genotypes and genetic characteristics that can alter the course of the disease have been identified.
