Abstract (EN)

In this century, the effect of the forms of changing consumption have been great influence on marketing that's having a great effect. Customers whose necessities and preferences have been changing and varying continously forced firms to make their products more charming. Although their products are qualified, good price and distributed well, if customers didn't have enough information, those above are not enough. The whole efforts for these occured sales promotion activities. Sales promotion, that was developed in America and spread out the whole world, and also commonly used in our country and spreading day by day, occured the lower element of promotional mixs. In the first chapter of the work, marketing mixs were ihtroduced in these mixs are presented. In the second chapter, promotional mixs were ihtroduced and brought up for the relation with sales promotion. İn the third chapter, sales promotion tools were ihtroduced, advantages and disadvantages of the tools were listed, the strategy, purposes and the tecnique of these efforts on sales promotion and also work of sales promotion on newspaper and its effect on selling took place. In the fourth chapter, the potisive effect on selling was presented the dotum and day difference effect of a national newspaper that has sales promotion, and regression equation is worked up thanks to RATS programme. The coefficient signs were hormonious and meaningful as expected. In the fifth chapter, which is conclusion and summary chapter, the results found out were interpreted. VIII
