Abstract (EN)

Corrosion means the deterioration of products and parts by chemical and electrochemical reactions with their environment and is an extremely important problem. The causes of corrosion are complex and vary by industry. There are causes common to certain industries. The most important common cause is environmental conditions. Environmental conditions also affect the rate and spread of corrosion. A corrosive environment often contains at least one of the elements humidity, extreme temperature, surface moisture, airborne particles, salt, and industrial machine oil. Many of the materials used today are consuming their life under the compelling effect of these environments. Especially when the marina conditions are evaluated, this compelling effect can be destructive. To reduce this effect, galvanizing and anodizing are the most preferred coating methods on metal derivatives. However, these methods are not considered sufficient to prolong the service life. Many large manufacturers have added the dyeing method to their processes to reduce this pressure on the metal material. Especially when today's painting methods and industrial conditions are evaluated, companies have turned their eyes on electrostatic powder paint. In this study, the corrosion resistance of powder coating on metals will be examined. For this, different metals will be evaluated following marina conditions. TS EN ISO 12944 standard will be based for this examination. As a result of the study, impact, strength, adhesion, salt test, etc. experiments will be carried out. In the tests to be made, the type of corrosion on the paint will be examined. The situation analysis will be made by taking the surface images of the coatings on the parts and comparing their conditions. It is aimed to increase the service life of the products in marina conditions with powder coating, which is seen as one of the metal protection methods. It will be ensured that the products and types used as a coating method and their lifespan will be graded. For many industrial organizations, the work to be done with the right product to be preferred will provide a basis for industrial studies. With the right product supply that will meet the need, it will keep companies away from production, materials, workmanship, and many negatives that may occur. In order to ensure the study, first of all, a metal derivative will be preferred. The metals to be supplied will be prepared in suitable dimensions for the tests to be carried out. Protective coating and surface treatments on metal will be preferred. After the prepared processes, dyeing will be done with different paint types. After painting, an examination will be made showing the surface quality and appearance of the products and will be sent to companies that have a test calibration certificate.
