Abstract (EN)
Purpose: In this study was aimed to determine the effect of eight-station circular training programme on the results of Bourdon Attention Test of 10-12 Age Children. Material and Method: 46 children (20 Female, 26 Male) participated from a secondary school in this study voluntarily. The age of participates was determined 11.13 ± 0.6. Participants were chosen that did not participate any sport regularly, but only they attended courses of physical education in their school. Participates were divided randomly two groups (study group (24 children) and control group (22 children). Bourdon Attention Test (BET) letter form was used for attention skill measurements of children. Study group was performed six week training programme. This programme was consisted of eight station which each station was supported with motion series for improving of attention skills. But also, control group did not participate any sport regularly in this duration. Permission form was received from all parents of participants. Short information form was used to demographic characteristics of all participants. SPSS packet programme was used for statistical analyses. Mann Whitney U test was used to compare between the groups. Wilcoxon test was used to compare between measurement of baseline and after six week of the group. Results: When the results of study group were compared between baseline and after 6 weeks, results of after 6 weeks increased significantly (p=0.000). Besides, the results of control group were compared between baseline and after 6 weeks, it was seen significant differences (p=0,002). But, it was less than attention test results of study group. When the results of study group and control group were compared after 6 weeks, the results of study groups were higher than control groups statistically (p=0.000). Conclusion: It was seen that eight-station circular training programme (ESCTP) affected the results of BET of 10-12 age children significantly. In conclusion, we can assert that ESCTP might contrubute to the skills of attention, concentration and focusing of 10-12 age children. Key Words: Bourdon Attention Test, Circuit Training, Station, Focusing.
