Abstract (EN)

Information technologies employed by the travel agencies of today's world are experiencing a continuous change. Travel agencies are required to be able to continue their assets and compete this situation and adapt to change. Especially the changes in the field of information technology have triggered not only the changes in mechanical systems but also have caused great changes in social systems. Therefore, there are many factors in the effects of information technologies on the change. In group A travel agencies, a qualitative study has been done for determining the effects of change in information technologies, the problems they face in line with these factors, and to reveal solutions for these problems. This study was carried out in group A travel agencies of Gaziantep with authorized people and employees. 16 people were interviewed for obtaining data. MAXQDA Qualitative Data Analysis Program was used in the analysis of the data obtained from the interviews. With this study, 7 factors affecting information technologies used in group A travel agencies were obtained. Affecting factors technological environment, economic environment, natural environment, socio-cultural environment, political and legal environment, recommendations for change and development.
