Abstract (EN)
This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of an internet-based and accessible intuitive eating intervention program designed to improve individuals' intuitive eating skills. The study sample consists of 52 individuals aged 18 and over, living in Turkey, who do not have chronic medical conditions involving dietary restrictions. The demographic characteristics, dietary history, and intuitive eating levels of the participants, who were recruited through an online announcement of the study, were collected via a Participant Information Form and the Intuitive Eating Scale prepared through Google Forms. The research follows a 2x2 experimental design, with an equal number of participants in both the intervention and control groups (N=26). The dependent variable of the study is the effectiveness of the intervention program, while the independent variable is the type of group. Participants in the intervention group were included in the intuitive eating intervention program, whereas participants in the control group were asked to read a psychoeducational booklet about intuitive eating. Pre-test and post-test measurements were taken to compare the changes in intuitive eating levels within and between the two groups. To determine the effectiveness of the intuitive eating intervention program and the variables influencing this effectiveness, Repeated Measures ANOVA, One-Way ANOVA, Independent Samples t-Test, and correlation analysis were conducted. The findings indicate that the intuitive eating intervention program is effective in this population. It is believed that this finding sheds light on filling the application gap in the field of intuitive eating in Turkey and the use of intuitive eating interventions in preventive and supportive treatments. Future research suggests examining the program's effectiveness longitudinally and working with different age groups.
