Sociological analysis of the Şia system of thought -Example of Iğdır Caferi-

In this study, Şia thought systems were examined sociologically using indirect observation and participatory observation techniques and Caferilik associated with the Şia sect living in Iğdır was discussed. Our research consists of four parts. In the first chapter, the general framework is laid out and the purpose and importance of the research is stated. In the second chapter, the formation process of the Şia sect was examined and the divisions within Şia were discussed. In the third chapter, the events of Kerbela and the month of Muharrem, which occupy an important place for the Şia sect, are mentioned. In the last chapter, the religious life forms and cultures of the Caferilik living in Iğdır are discussed. Key words: Şia, Caferilik, culture
