Abstract (EN)

II. With the proclamation of the Constitutional Monarchy, the liberated press and publishing life led to the publication of many newspapers and magazines. This atmosphere of freedom manifests itself in Anatolia as well as in big cities such as Istanbul and Izmir. The Şihâb magazine published in Konya on March 17, 1328 (March 30, 1912) is an example of this. It is of great importance in that it is the third journal published in Konya after the periodicals of Şihâb, Barika (1909) and Ufk-ı Ati (1911) and includes discussions of old and new languages in its content. In our study, we will examine the texts in the content of Şihâb by separating them according to their types and subjects. We divided the texts in the Şihâb journal into 8 sections as Articles, Poems, Stories, Memories, Letters, Theatres, Riddles and Book Advertisements, and classified them according to their types. We analyzed these texts by transferring them to modern Turkish. We tried to determine the subjects that the articles and poems we discussed, which they dealt with and focused on, added to the literary community as of that period and the place of Şihâb in the period it was published.
