Abstract (EN)

Siirt, built on a rich history and cultural heritage is an important city. The city was founded in the Middle East and Mesopotamia, an aspect of geography, while on the other hand, looks to the West. Eight thousand years ago today in Siirt inhabited recent archaeological excavations. Starting from the date on this land before the various communities living on its history as Romans, Byzantines, Seljuks and periods, as well as the Ottomans established many long-established State domination. This diversity has created a culture and civilization accumulation over time. Siirt's economy is largely based on agriculture, especially in the higher parts of the city, the Gandhi by animal husbandry for a long time. Siirt is underground for a long time have of wealth. . Siirt has an important place in the cultural wealth education. During the Ottoman period, a well-established and advanced education culture in Siirt. Especially for a scientific culture and tradition through the madrasas. The population has been moving continuously in Siirt. Despite the increase in population during the period of the Republic of Siirt has been migrated to the West all the time. In addition, immigration movements toward the center of Siirt countryside.
