Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, the LTE, tensile and compressive stress performances of cylindrical, circular and ellipsoidal dowel bar reinforcements with the same iron material weight in concrete road joints under real axle loading were compared. In load transfer measurements, LVDT measurements and finite element studies were used, and finite elements were used in the determination of compressive and tensile stresses. In the study, cylinder dowel bar reinforcements with diameters (31.75, 38.1, 44.45, 50.8) mm and lengths of 30, 35, 40, 46, 50 cm, which are used in the concrete road construction joints in the market, were studied. Then 2.5 cm thick diameters 10J.99, equivalent to roller dowel bar reinforcement. Circular dowel bar reinforcements with dimensions between 10.08 and 43.01 cm and ellipsoidal dowel bar reinforcements with dimensions of 10.08-43.01 cm were taken into consideration. It has been observed that the length of the dowel bar reinforcements does not have a serious effect on the increase of load transfers in the joints of concrete pavements. With the increase in the diameters of the dowel bar reinforcement, significant decreases were observed in the tensile and compressive stress values formed between the dowel bar reinforcement and the surrounding concrete. Key Words: Dowel Bar, Load Transfer Effıcıency, Tensıle Stress, Compressıve Stress; Dımensıon
