Abstract (EN)
For our country, which has high seismic activity, it is necessary to understand the dynamic behavior of soils at the time of earthquake in order to reduce the damage caused by the earthquake. Ground amplification is the increase in the amplitude of earthquake waves until they come from the bedrock and rise to the surface, due to the effect of local ground conditions. Dynamic response analyzes of the soil are performed with many models. In this study, the soil amplifications occurred in the 30 October 2020 Samos earthquake and 06 February 2023 Pazarcık earthquake were investigated. were modeled using the 30 October 2020 Izmir earthquake data, and linear, equivalent linear and nonlinear one-dimensional seismic ground response analyzes were made in the frequency and time domain in the Deepsoil program. For this purpose, linear, equivalent linear and nonlinear one-dimensional dynamic analyzes in the frequency and time domain were performed in the Deepsoil program and the results were evaluated. In addition, within the scope of the thesis, the Modified Finite Element-Transfer matrix method has been proposed to be used as a Transfer function in linear and equivalent linear soil response analysis. With the proposed method, both transfer functions are obtained and analyzes can be made in the frequency domain under the influence of a certain ground motion. In the second part of the thesis, literature review is given, while in the third part, seismic ground response analysis methods and the Deepsoil program are explained. In the fourth and fifth chapters, the soil amplifications under the influence of the Samos and Pazarcık earthquakes are investigated with the Deepsoil program, while the Modified Finite Element-Transfer matrix method is explained in the sixth chapter.
