Sivasli Gulami Divancontext index and functional dictionary

In this thesis, the Divan of Sivaslı Gulami, one of the 19th century poets of Classical Turkish literature, was prepared as a contextual index and functional dictionary. TEBDİZ (Contextual Index and Functional Dictionary of Turkish Literature) is an electronic data system that sheds light on the works of six centuries old classical Turkish poetry from different perspectives. In this system, which was developed by making use of all the possibilities of today's technology, the semantic world of the works discussed was prepared in dictionary format and revealed. By using this system, systematic and regularly contextual indexes of the poems in the divan were prepared. The evaluation of the Gulami Divan was made with the data obtained thanks to the system in question. The poems in the divan were loaded into the TEBDİZ system by giving numbers to each poem according to their shapes and types. Words and groups of words were given meaning by TEBDİZ data entry method in accordance with the cultural, political and social life of the period, by distinguishing between suffixes and roots. This dictionary, which is prepared by giving the contextual meaning as well as the basic meaning of the word, is important in terms of revealing the richness of literary texts, unlike text analysis studies. In this thesis, besides the contextual index and functional dictionary, information about the life and works of Sivaslı Gulami is included. With this study, it is aimed to reveal the poet's originality in the richness of meaning, as well as his language and style.
