Examination of classroom teachers' professional concerns in terms of various variables

The aim of this research is to develop a valid and reliable scale to examine the professional concerns of classroom teachers and to examine the professional concerns of classroom teachers. Professional concerns of classroom teachers; It was examined whether there were differences according to gender, place of employment, professional seniority, current class, class type they taught, and previously combined class teaching variables. This study, which was carried out with the aim of examining the professional concerns of classroom teachers, consists of two stages. In the first stage of the study, in order to develop an anxiety scale to determine the professional anxiety of classroom teachers, 451 classroom teachers working in the city center of Ağrı and the village schools affiliated to the center were studied in the 2019-2020 academic year. In the second stage of the study, 724 classroom teachers working in Ağrı city center, central villages, districts and village schools close to the district center were studied in the 2021-2022 academic year. Survey research, one of the quantitative research methods, was used in the study. The "Classroom Teaching Vocational Anxiety Scale" developed by the researcher and the "Personal Information Form" prepared by the researcher were used to collect the data. In the analyses, exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, normality assumption and t-test and ANOVA were used to test the differentiation between variables. According to the results of the research, it was determined that the general professional anxiety levels of the classroom teachers were moderate. It has been determined that the professional anxiety levels of the classroom teachers differ significantly according to the variables of professional seniority and the place where they work. It was concluded that gender, current class, type of class they taught, and combined classroom teaching status did not cause a significant difference in the professional anxiety level of classroom teachers.
