Abstract (EN)
SUMMARY Pollution is an important problem for rivers and coastal areas. The waste concentration in water is used for various purposes and its variation with respect to time must be known. Problems of environmental pollution can always be reduced to the solution of a mathematical model. The unknown quantity in such problems is an entity, C, a scalar physical quantity, which may be the mass of a pollutant or temporal and spatial distribution of pollutants. To evaluate the potential impacts of effluent discharges into receiving waters, we must make estimates of plume geometry and dilution characteristic. In area of growing environmental concern, accurate prediction of the impacts from aqueous discharges into our natural waters is essential, To aid the design, analysis, and prediction of discharges into the coastal zone, by using The Cornell Mixing Zone Expert System ( CORMTX) has been developed by EPA. CORMTX 3 gives both qualitative and quantitative descriptions of the effluent flow resulting from buoyant surface discharges. Given the large number of possible discharge and ambient conditions, it is necessary to develop a classification scheme which properly categorizes the flow according to its most significant characteristics. Coupled with the flow classification is a mathematical simulation which provides the quantitative predictions of the dilution, trajectory, width and depth of effluent stream. CORMTX 3 facilitates the input and analysis of a discharge situation by providing ample instructions, explanations of the results, and suggestions for improving the dilution characteristics. Purpose of this research is to investigate pollutant distribution in Coastal region at Black Sea. For this reason, Solaklı coastal region which is located at the South Eastern Black Sea is chosen as pilot area. Then, pollutant distribution in sea were analyzed by using CORMTX 3. This model takes into account the effect of near field and far field. CORMTX 3 has been shown spatial and temporal variations of pollutant from Solaklı stream to coastal area.
